Pav Bhaji Recipe
Ingredients:
For Bhaji :
- 2 medium sized potatoes
- 1 large carrot
- 1 medium sized cauliflower
- 2 medium sized bell pepper
- Half a bowl peas
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of dhaniya powder
- 2-3 tablespoon of pav bhaji masala
- 1 tablespoon of garam masala
- 1 tablespoon of jeera powder
- 2 tablespoon of kashmiri lal mirch
- Salt as per taste
- 3/4th cup of butter
- Oil as per requirement
For Pav :
- 4 pav buns
- 3/4th cup of Butter
Detailed Process :
For Bhaji :
- Boil potato, carrot, peas and cauliflower into the pressure cooker. And add boil it for at least 7-8 whistles
- Take it out in a plate, cool it completely and smash it with a paw bhaji smasher
- Heat the pan with butter and a little oil
- Now, add bell papers and fry it lightly
- Add all the smashed vegetables and fry them lightly
- Smash them using the paw bhaji smasher
- Add all the dry masala – paw bhaji masala, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, kashmiri lal mirch and salt as per taste
- Mix all these together and let them fry completely
- Now, add a little water and bring the bhaji to a boil
- If you feel the bhaji is too thick then you can add more water
- Top the bhaji with coriander leaves
- Add the lemon juice and give it a final stir and keep it aside
For paw :
- Heat the pan with butter
- Add the paws once the butter starts to melt
- Turn the paws upside down and fry it lightly at both the sides till both the sides turn light brown
And now your pav bhaji is ready to be served.
